
McLaughlin Man Sentenced for Distribution of Marijuana

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a McLaughlin man charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance by a federal grand jury was sentenced on November 7, 2012, by United States District Judge Charles B. Kornmann. Chaske Lyndon Little Bear, age 28, was sentenced to 2 years of probation and a $250 fine. Little Bear was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund. The conviction arose from a March 2011 incident in which Little Bear sold marijuana. The drug quantity attributable to Little Bear was less than 250 grams of marijuana. This case was investigated by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller prosecuted the case. |
